Sunny Deol's Jaat is not even close to what Salman Khan's Sikandar had earned on opening day, and definitely not what Gadar 2 had minted in 2023

Sunny Deol's Jaat, despite being oh-so-loved by fans (although not-so-much by critics), has failed to leave a mark at the Box Office. The movie has opened to much lesser numbers than Salman Khan's Sikandar. What's worse is that the movie has not even earned in double digits on its opening day.
Sunny Deol's Jaat has failed at the Box Office. The movie did not even earn half of Sikandar's opening day Box Office and what's worse is that the movie did not even earn in double digits. Jaat has earned Rs. 9.5 crore at the Box Office on day 1. Thus, we still recommend watching Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on OTT to unwind after a long, tiring day.
Sunny Deol gave a massive blockbuster in 2023 with Gadar 2. The movie minted Rs. 40 crore on opening day when Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan craze was at peak. Given the Sikandar debacle at the Box Office, expectations were riding high from Jaat but of course, the movie has not kept up with it.

It is to be noted that Sikandar and Jaat had drastic release conditions. Salman Khan's movie release at the peak of Eid celebrations. The film was out on Sunday, which was the last holiday right before Eid celebrations.
As for Jaat, the movie has released on a working day. Sunny Deol's film is out on a Thursday, so that has drastically impacted the Box Office collections for Deol's film, too. Hence, despite the initial setback, Jaat could catch up from today i.e. its first Friday and make up for the poor day 1 Box Office in the coming days. We would know for sure after the end of the day.
