The first weekend Box Office collections for Sunny Deol's Jaat are here, and the numbers appear only mildly promising. Much like Salman Khan's Sikandar, this movie is also struggling to cross Rs. 100 crore mark at the Box Office. In fact, Jaat has not even come halfway of the mark so far. However, not all hopes are lost since it is a long weekend afterall. Here's the Box Office collection of the movie on day 4...

Jaat, featuring Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda in the lead roles, has barely minted over Rs. 40 crore in its first weekend. Despite almost 50% spike in numbers on Sunday, the movie earned Rs. 40.25 crore net by Sunday, according to Sacnilk. The movie is now closer to beating Yamla Pagla Deewana's Box Office collections but still very far for Deol's blockbuster Gadar 2.

Can Jaat beat Gadar 2 Box Office collections?

The possibility of Jaat beating Gadar 2 Box Office is as slim as Salman Khan-Rashmika Mandanna's Sikandar beating Salman-Katrina Kaif-Emraan Hashmi's Tiger 3 record of Rs. 200 crore (which for Rs. 300 crore budget, was also in loss). However, Jaat beating Yamla Pagla Deewana and Gadar's record is like Sikandar beating Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan record (it has already happened, but is stagnant since).

When and where to watch Jaat after its theatrical release?

Jaat will be out on Netflix post its theatrical release. The movie is likely to complete eight weeks in theatres before the OTT release, a la Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna's Chhaava. However, whether Jaat can actually come close to Chhaava’s Box Office record remains to be seen. Beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna’s film is now the third highest-grossing Hindi film. It neared Rs. 600 crore club before ending its theatrical run and continuing its OTT journey. However, Chhaava also came under the scanner almost immediately since the movie released only in Hindi. A day after the disappointed Telugu viewers demanded that the film release in the language, the makers obliged and the film was out in both the languages for streaming not long after.
