But that very moment was diluted with a ₹9.5 crore opening on a Thursday release, and the trade was left shocked. This is the second movie to suffer a similar fate in the same fortnight after the Salman Khan starrer Sikandar. As per Sacnilk, the movie has already earned ₹0.12 crore as per the advance bookings for Day 3, which is the first Saturday since release. The hope is that the Ghayal star’s pan-India effort Jaat should find some good momentum on Saturday and score its first double-digit collection today. The movie will underperform at the multiplexes and Tier 1 cities, but it is going pretty well in Tier 2 and Tier 3 zones where there are good on-spot bookings. If the word of mouth in these zones turns out to be any good, the tide can change for Jaat.

As per Sacnilk, Jaat had ended up earning only ₹7 crore on day 2, which is ₹2.5 crores less than the first day. This takes the overall collection of the movie to ₹16.5 crore, which is nowhere a happening number for a movie headlined by Sunny Deol and mounted on a budget this big. The movie witnessed an 11% occupancy in the day. The footfalls were very low in the morning but eventually saw a rise in the afternoon and evening. Night showed a significant rise.
