The way Sunny Deol-led Jaat is performing at the box office is indeed surprising—and not necessarily in a good way. A three-day total of Rs 25 crore might seem impressive for an average movie, but for a film starring a megastar who last delivered the blockbuster Gadar 2, expectations were certainly higher. The initial buzz and estimations had to be scaled down after the underwhelming response to the Gopichand Malineni directorial on its first two days. However, on Saturday, the film finally showed some upward movement, entering the double-digit collection club. Now, early signs indicate that Sunday might bring even better news for the makers.
After collecting single-digit numbers on its first two days, Jaat saw some hope on its first Saturday, Day 3, when it managed to pull in Rs 10 crore. While the number isn't massive for a Ghayal star Sunny Deol starrer, it was a step in the right direction. For Day 4, early estimates suggest the film is poised for another rise—possibly outperforming Day 3.
If the current trend continues, Jaat could earn anywhere between Rs 10 to 15 crore on its fourth day at the domestic box office. This would be a solid turnaround for the film and a potential redemption arc. Should it cross the Rs 35 crore mark by the end of Day 4, it will surpass the lifetime collection of Shahid Kapoor's Deva, which stood at Rs 33.9 crore.
According to Sacnilk, Jaat earned Rs 10 crore on Day 3, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 26.50 crore. While mornings were slow, the film saw a small boost in the afternoon and evening, with the night shows recording the highest footfalls. The film recorded a 16.70% Hindi occupancy on Saturday.
Jaat features a power-packed cast, including Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, and more in pivotal roles. The film is produced by leading banners Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory. Music is composed by Thaman S, with cinematography by Rishi Punjabi, editing by Navin Nooli, and production design by Avinash Kolla.
The film was granted a U/A certificate and reportedly went through 22 cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification. It has a runtime of 2 hours, 33 minutes, and 31 seconds. Jaat hit the big screens on April 10, 2025.
