Jaat might have a fair Box Office opening, but the big question is, can it beat Salman Khan's Sikandar?

Sunny Deol's Jaat is finally out in theatres, which means that the final advance booking report is out. The final numbers are not as expected, for the movie has failed to beat Salman Khan's Sikandar in advance booking. That's right, Jaat hasn't even minted Rs. 10 crore at the Box Office yet.
Sunny Deol-Randeep Hooda's Jaat did not mint Rs. 10 crore in advance booking, a feat that even Salman Khan's Sikandar managed to when it released around Eid. With 62695267 blocked seats, Jaat has earned Rs. 6.27 crore in advance booking, according to Sacnilk. Meanwhile, Sikandar had inched closer to Rs. 10 crore in advance booking. Does this mean Jaat might not perform at the Box Office on its opening day? Not necessarily.
Although Jaat has released in theatres, there are other Sunny Deol blockbusters that you can watch from the comfort of your home. All you would need is a subscription to OTTplay Premium.
In case you are obsessed with Deol's 'dhai kilo ka haath,' you can stream his last blockbuster film Gadar 2 on OTTplay Premium and relive the nostalgia. And for more Deol action, what better than Ghayal?
Lastly, to get some time off action and tap into family entertainment, you can stream Yamla Pagla Deewana through your OTTplay Premium account. We mean, the Deols being funny is a whole ride! So, start streaming now!
The biggest question on people's mind is - can Jaat beat Sikandar? The early reviews that are out praise the Deol starrer, so the hopes are up, but there are some factors to note. Sikandar released on Eid, while Jaat is a non-holiday release. This could affect the day 1 number for the Sunny Deol-led film. It is also to be noted that Jaat is releasing on a Thursday and not a Friday, which is a working day. Thus, the Box Office opening numbers are likely to be lower than Sikandar. But, it remains to be seen.
Sikandar has somehow entered Rs. 100 crore club, but struggles since. Jaat, that gets the early release boost, might enter Rs. 100 crore club only if word-of-mouth spreads and the movie feels worth the theatre-goers' time. We would know for certain in a few days if Jaat is indeed capable of the mighty Rs. 100 crore club and above.
