Jaat OTT Release Date: Here's when and where you can expect to stream Sunny Deol's action thriller online

Sunny Deol was recently seen in an action thriller, Jaat. The film, directed by Gopichand Malineni, hit theaters on April 10. The plot centers around a man named Ranatunga (Randeep Hooda), who spreads terror in the village, and a mysterious outsider, Jaat, who fights against his reign. After its theatrical run, the film is likely to have an OTT release date. Read below to know the details!

Jaat tentative OTT release date

As per a Jagran English report, Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda's Jaat is likely to be released on Netflix on June 5, 2025, after its theatrical run. However, an official confirmation is still under wraps.

About Jaat

In an earlier interview with TeluguOne, Tollywood director Gopichand Malineni revealed that it was Nandamuri Balakrishna who was first offered Jaat and not Sunny Deol. But the Telugu actor turned it down. 

He shared that Sunny was not the first choice for Jaat and added that he had pitched something else for Balakrishna before their 2023 hit Veera Singh Reddy. He said, “Yes, it’s a different story. Actually, the first story I thought of is now Jaat."

Jaat is an action thriller that follows a mysterious outsider who enters a village ruled by a ruthless crime boss and challenges his reign of terror, leading to a confrontation. In the film, Sunny played the role of Jaat, and Randeep portrayed the villainous Ranatunga. The film explores themes of justice, power, and revenge, as the Jats fight against Ranatunga's empire.

The cast of Jaat also features Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, and others. 

Meanwhile, the OTTplay review for Jaat reads, "Jaat tries to pack a "Dhai Kilo" punch but lands more cringes than cheers. It's a Ramayana retelling where the audience is left digesting a violent mess in the name of mass."
