Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met was a big hit and eventually developed a cult following. When it was released in 2007, the romantic comedy starring Shahid and Kareena Kapoor won over audiences' hearts. The movie is currently in the news once more due to rumors of a Jab We Met 2 sequel. Recent sources claimed that Raj Mehta, the owner of Ashtavinayak and Gandhar Films, will likely be the one to start the sequel. However, we have a bad news for all the Jab We Met fans who are waiting for the sequel.

Jab We Met 2 is not happening

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Kareena Kapoor Khan's spokesperson refuted these claims and reaffirmed that there will be no sequel. The portal also cited a source as saying, "It's not true. Shahid has no clue where these rumours started from. Same is the case with Kareena, the rumours are false. Attempting such a project requires guts. The public loves the film too much."

The 2007 romantic comedy Jab We Met, which starred Shahid Kapoor as Aditya and Kareena Kapoor Khan as Geet, has earned cult status in Hindi cinema over the years. From dialogues to songs to storyline and direction by Imtiaz Ali, audience love everything about the film. Dara Singh, Saumya Tandon, Pavan Malhotra, Brijendra Kala, Tarun Arora, and Kiran Juneja all had significant roles in Jab We Met in addition to Shahid and Kareena.

After making his OTT debut with Farzi, Shahid also starred in Bloody Daddy, which was also released on OTT platform. Kareena, on the other hand, is all set for her digital debut with Jaane Jaan. Also starring Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat, the film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. It will premiere on Netflix on September 21.
