Jack is Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s new film, released with a lot of pre-release hype on April 10, 2025. But sadly, the comedy caper disappointed one and all and started with bad word of mouth. We at OTTplay have already revealed that Jack made just Rs 2.5 crore net on day one of its release. As the talk was worse, the occupancy fell big time and the action comedy made only 80 lakhs at the box office on day two, which is dismal.
The DJ Tillu actor has amassed a solid fan following in the last few years, but sadly, that has not helped the film get any proper openings. Several shows have been canceled in a few theatres in the Telugu states.
Siddhu did quite well in his role, but as the narrative was so bland, the film was written off from day one itself. Speaking of Siddhu Jonnalagadda, if you are his fan, you should stream his earlier hit Krishna and his Leela on OTTplay Premium right away.
Coming back to Jack, Bommarillu Bhaskar directed the film, and his work has come under massive criticism. Fans of Siddhu Jonnalagadda are calling him a one-film wonder, as Bhaskar has not given a single hit to date after Bommarillu.
Vaishnavi Chaitanya of Baby fame played the female lead in this film and Jack is her back-to-back second flop in a row. BVSN Prasad marketed the film quite well and sold the OTT rights to Netflix for a fancy price, and this landed the film in a safe zone. Only the distributors who bought the theatrical rights will end up in losses.
The news is also that Siddhu was promised a share in the profits if the film turned out to be a big hit. But sadly, that has not happened and Jack has ended as a disaster at the box office and will make an early OTT release by the end of this month on Netflix.
