Malayalam star Nivin Pauly seems to be gearing up for a complete overhaul – in terms of his projects as well as his appearance – in 2024. The actor, who is currently shooting for Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham in Munnar, has several exciting projects in the pipeline including debutant filmmaker Aaryan Ramani Girijavallabhan’s big budget movie.
There were rumours that Nivin would be teaming up with Sai Pallavi again after Premam for Aaryan’s film. However, the filmmaker exclusively tells us, “We don’t want to reveal anything about the cast as of now. There will be a lot of new faces as part of the team from across India; it’s primarily because we don’t want the audience to go in with any judgment on how people’s characters would turn out.”

Jackie Chan’s associate to choreograph stunts for Nivin Pauly film
But the surprises don’t just end there. “We will be getting a Hollywood stunt director as well as a senior associate of Jackie Chan from Beijing to choreograph the action sequences in the movie. Once we finalise their dates, we will be planning the schedules accordingly,” Aaryan explains, adding that the plan is to begin by next monsoon in June-July 2024.
Further on the yet-to-be-titled film’s plot, the director says, “It’s a big-budget film. In essence, it’s a love story but it’s packaged as a high-octane action and ‘mass’ movie.”
Nivin Pauly’s upcoming movies in 2024
Nivin, who will also be co-producing the movie, has reshuffled his upcoming movies to ensure that he is able to do justice for all of them, says the director. “Even when we pitched foreign action directors, he was all for it. That’s the energy he gives; he wants the project to become the best version it is,” he concludes.
Meanwhile, Nivin’s upcoming movies include Dijo Jose Antony’s film, Abrid Shine’s Action Hero Biju 2 and Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham, where he will share screen space with Pranav Mohanlal, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Basil Joseph, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Aju Varghese.
