Akshay Kumar unveiled a new look poster for his upcoming film Ram Setu on Thursday. The latest image features the Bollywood hunk with a 'mashaal' in his hand alongside the Telugu actor Satyadev and Jaqueline Fernandes who can be seen with a torch in her hand. The fans loved the first of the epic adventure movie, while netizens also trolled the poster on a funny note.

A Twitterati mentioned, "Jacqueline has a battery operated torch still Akshay Kumar is using Mashal to look around. Says a lot about director's eye for details. (sic)."

Meanwhile, a movie buff compared the Ram Setu poster with the Hollywood adventure flick National Treasure.

A Twitter user also mentioned his reaction on the poster and wrote, "The entire surrounding is so well-lit, that woman has a powerful electric torch, and yet here you are, holding a fire torch to see god knows what! Hilarious poster! (sic)."

While another netizen simply asked, "Torch hai toh mashaal ki kya zaroorat bhai?? (Ehy do you need a mashal if there is already a torch?)"

A moviegoer compared Akshay's film with a bunch of Hollywood movies and Tweeted, "I am sorry but you should have relied on local design as opposed to something that looks like a mix of mummy, Indiana Jones and national treasure. (sic)."

Meanwhile, some of the fans simply adored and complimented th first look. One of the fans wrote, "Aag lagadi sir... Story on Ram setu + heavy vfx + action adventure genre = Blockbuster coming on this Diwali (sic)"

The Abhishek Sharma directorial also stars Nushrat Bharucha in a major role with Raaj Vishwakarma as a supporting character. Ram Setu is slated to release on Diwali 2022.
