Jaffer Sadiq joins Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, posts picture from sets

Actor Jaffer Sadiq is one of the most sought-after character actors in the Tamil film industry. He is, especially, in demand for gangster movies given he has demonstrated a unique edge in portraying cold-blooded killer characters. 

On Monday, Jaffer joined the sets of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's most-awaited movie Jawan. He posted a picture of himself with the film's director Atlee and captioned it, "- with lots of respect, love you na @Atlee_dir picture Abhi baaki hei."

Jaffer made an impression with his performance in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's previous blockbuster Vikram. He played the role of a hard-core dwarf criminal who kills his victims with a cutting plier. He's also expected to make appearances in upcoming movies in Lokesh's cinematic universe. 

Jawan is director Atlee's debut in Hindi. However, it will also be released in Tamil and Telugu. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra among others. 

Earlier in an interview, Sethupathi confirmed that he essayed the role if the main villain in the movie. "Yes, I do, It is the antagonist's role. I've known Atlee for a long time. But, I've never worked with him until now. When he offered me Jawan I immediately said yes to working with Shah Rukh Khan. He's such a down-to-earth, humble and helpful actor. No attitude at all. Always friendly and helpful," he said. 

In addition to playing the lead role, SRK is also bankrolling the movie under his home production, Red Chillies Entertainment. Billed as a vigilante revenge drama , Jawan will see SRK sporting a never-seen-before looks . Some leaked photos of SRK's character look from the movie have ramped up the expectations of the fans. 

Jawan was earlier due in cinemas in June. But, the producers postponed the release to September 7 citing production reasons.
