Jagaddhatri: Here is what motivated Indrani Dutta to join the serial

Over the years, we have seen many film actresses on television. Indrani Halder, Debasree Roy, and Rupa Ganguly are to name a few. Indrani Dutta is the new addition to the list, who has started working on the Zee Bangla serial Jagaddhatri. Indrani was first seen on television during lockdown in the serial Jibansathi. After that, she was not seen in any serial. Why did she decide to act in Jagaddhatri? 

In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Indrani said, “Acting and dancing are my addictions. During COVID-19, when everyone was at home, Snehasish (Chakraborty) contacted me and asked me to act in Jibansathi. It felt good. But if you work in a serial, you can’t do other work in life. Hence I rejected 12 offers. When I was asked to work in Jagaddhatri, I thought that I could also go on with my dance projects. I could also be in acting. Also, the TRP is roaring high. Hence. I said yes.” 

Currently, Indrani is busy with her dance academy. Her daughter Rajnandini Paul is also a busy actress who is seen in several web series and films.

Meanwhile, Jagaddhatri has been topping the TRP chart for the last two weeks. One after another new cases are coming to Jas Sanyal and Swayambhu is helping his wife as well. The pair of Soumyadip Mukherjee and Ankita Mallik has been liked by the audience. The new twists and turns in the story improved the ratings. But recently, there were reports that the serial might end soon. However, the lead actress has refuted this speculation and confirmed that the speculations were wrong.
