Tota Roy Chowdhury plays the character of the defense lawyer who fights against Mimi. the show is based on a real-life incident when a police constable was killed while trying to safeguard a woman from a bunch of harassers right on New Year's Eve. The accused bunch of people were later found out to be cops as well.
In a recent interview with OTTplay, Mimi said that she was waiting for the right moment to debut on OTT. She said that she had her share of dilemmas on when would it be the right time for her to pick OTT. “I used to think that I would lose out on something if I went to OTT. and finally I understood that it is not that. Now I know OTT is the future. It took me some time to make up my mind. But as they say, ‘Everything has a perfect time and this is my time to step into the world of OTT,” she told us.
According to Mimi – a seasoned film actress, there are differences between OTT and films. She explained that working on an OTT project could be more strenuous. She also said that OTT is more acting-oriented. “Those, like us, who are used to working on the big screen, suddenly realise that I will be watched on a mobile – a palm top. A viewer can pause, rewind, and re-watch one shot multiple times. So acting plays a huge part here. That I found to be the most challenging and interesting. It allows me to act. I finally made up my mind for OTT and here it is,” she said.
