A few days ago, actor-filmmaker and Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty announced that he’d sold the streaming and telecast rights of his last directorial, Jai, for an amount that was unheard of for Tulu cinema. It was Zee Network that had picked up the satellite (Zee Kannada) and digital (Zee5) rights of the Tulu-Kannada bilingual. They have now announced that Jai will drop on the platform as of February 6, 2026. It will be available via OTTplay Premium also.

Jai was Roopesh’s third directorial venture after hits like Girgit and Circus. Roopesh played the lead in the film, which brought Hindi actor Suniel Shetty to Tulu cinema, albeit in a cameo. Released in theatres on November 14, 2025, the Tulu version was a hit in coastal Karnataka, but the Kannada version did not fare as well.

When Jai’s own family is affected by the politician’s absolute apathy towards Simhabettu.
