Jailer 2: Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar’s sequel shooting to begin very soon

We had earlier reported that the sequel to the 2023 film Jailer starring actor Rajinikanth will be made with the superstar set to reunite with director Nelson Dilipkumar. The much-anticipated sequel will be going on floors from Monday (March 10). Sun Pictures will be backing the film.

Jailer 2 is the sequel to the 2023 Tamil film starring actor Rajinikanth in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar who also helmed the first part, marking his second collaboration with the superstar.

Not much about the cast and crew has been announced by the production company. Jailer 2 has hyped the expectations of Rajinikanth fans who will await more updates once Coolie is released. Anirudh Ravichander is once again scoring music for the film. As per reports, Jailer 2 will also be star-studded, and will have cameo appearances by stalwarts across the film industries.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also working with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj in Coolie. The action thriller is also produced by Sun Pictures, with a release date yet to be announced. Coolie features a stellar star cast, including actors Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and others in prominent roles. Actor Pooja Hegde will be making a cameo appearance in the film for a song.

The action thriller features an ensemble star cast including actors Ramya Krishnan, Vinayak, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannah Bhatia, Redin Kingsley, Sunil, and others, with Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff making cameo appearances.

Jailer has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander and opened to positive reviews. The film revolves around a retired jailer who takes on a local thug after he kidnaps his son, aided by his friendships from the past.
