Superstar Rajinikanth's latest outing Jailer has been breaking one record after another at the box office. The film's production house Sun Pictures has now officially announced that the action entertainer has collected Rs 525 crore at the box office. In the meantime, the team recently had the success celebration in style. And the party also had the man of the moment, Superstar Rajinikanth himself in attendance.

A picture of Rajinikanth posing with the technical team is now doing the rounds on the internet. Also in attendance were the captain of the ship, director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The star cast however, remained absent and it looks the actors might get together for a party later.

Jailer has been considered a make or break movie for Superstar Rajinikanth has some of his last few releases, failed to make a tremendous impact at the box office. In fact, his last release, Annatthe opened to negative reviews from both critics and audience. Since Nelson Dilipkumar's last outing Beast, too, was trolled by many, Jailer turned out to be his acid test as well.

During the film's audio release, Rajinikanth had said that after the debacle of Annatthe, he had listened to many scripts, but nothing worked. When Nelson Dilipkumar narrated the script of Jailer, he was still working on Vijay's Beast. But after Beast opened to negative reviews, Rajinikanth revealed that he was under tremendous pressure to fire Nelson. He decided to go ahead with the project after he learned that the film raked in the moolah at the box office.

Jailer has Rajinikanth playing Muthuvel Pandian, who is on a mission to bust a dreaded gang which has escaped the prison. The film's star cast is a starry one, comprising Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Tamanaah, Vinayakan to name a few.
