Filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar seems to be shooting a major action sequence for his upcoming film Jailer, starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The on-location pictures that have surfaced online suggest that the filmmaker recently shot a chase sequence. In another picture, Nelson could be seen posing for the camera in the backdrop of a historical tourist sport.

The production of the film is going on at a brisk phase even though Nelson continues to add new actors to the film's cast. Recently, actor Jaffer Sadiq was roped in for the film. Jaffer is carving a niche for himself in negative roles. He was recently seen in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram.

The cast of Jailer also has some of the biggest names from across the Indian film industry. Nelson pulled off a coup of sorts by roping in Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for a key role. For the first time in their long and glorious careers, Rajinikanth and Mohanlal will be sharing the screen space.

It's said that Mohanlal has joined the sets of Jailer in Rajasthan. Mohanlal is already camping in Rajasthan as he's shooting for Lijo Jose Pellissery's Malaikottai Valiban. Recently, a picture of Rajinikanth and Mohanlal catching up before the shoot went viral on social media.

Recently, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff also joined the sets of Jailer. The filmmakers released Shroff's character look from the movie. Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar is also part of the cast. He revealed that he played a cameo role in the movie, describing the opportunity to share screen space with Rajinikanth as a "blessing."

Jailer also stars Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and Vinayakan among others. The film is expected to arrive in cinemas in April this year.
