Nelson has shared a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude to everyone who stood by him while making Jailer.

Superstar Rajinikanth's latest movie Jailer created history at the box office by raking in about rs 600 crore in global ticket sales. And its terrific run across the cinemas came to an end with its debut on the streaming platform.
On Sunday, the production company Sun Pictures along with director Nelson organised an event to recognise the contribution of over 300 members, who worked on the project. "Mr.Kalanithi Maran felicitated more than 300 people who worked for #Jailer with gold coins today," Sun Pictures tweeted along with a video.
In the video, Kalanithi Maran could be seen handing out gift hampers to all the crew members, who were also later treated to a lavish lunch with a variety of meat delicacies, including Biriyani. Nelson was also present at the event which honoured the contribution of the crew members.
Nelson is filled with gratitude
Following the event, Nelson shared a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude to everyone who stood by him while making Jailer. "I take this moment to express my heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone involved in making Jailer a massive success," he wrote.
Even though Jailer was healded by Rajinikanth, it boasted a star-studded supporting cast, including explosive camoes by Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar. "Mohanlal sir, Shiva Rajkumar sir, Jackie Shroff sir I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your presence has elevated Jailer to greater heights," he said.
Another big plus for the movie was composer Anirudh's background score. "Rockstar Anirudh, you have always given me your love and unwavering support. Your music is the soul of Jailer. Thank you so much. Keep rocking and keep inspiring!!, he added.

Jailer revived Nelson's career
It's noteworthy that Jailer was a 'make or break' movie for Nelson. faced a critical juncture in his career with the release of Beast, a movie starring Thalapathy Vijay. The film had generated significant expectations but was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews. However, the undeniable star power of Vijay ensured Beast triumphed at the box office despite the critical setback. This success provided Nelson with the opportunity to helm Jailer with Rajinikanth.
"Superstar Rajinikanth sir thank you so much for the opportunity. Your energy, commitment, dedication, passion, simplicity and humbleness have always been a learning experience for me and the whole crew. Your phenomena has pushed boundaries, broke records and made Jailer a tremendous success. I shall cherish this to be one of the most treasured experiences of my life," he added.
Rajinikanth also revealed that he was under immense pressure to fire Nelson from the project following the critical debacle of Best. And, Rajinikanth's faith in Nelson's talent paid off in a big way.
Jailer is streaming on OTT
Earlier this week, Jailer became available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Besides Rajinikanth, the movie also stars Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah, Sunil, Mirnaa Menon and Yogi Babu.
