We had told you Shivarajkumar was playing an important role in Rajinikanth's Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Beast fame. In an interview with a leading English daily, the Kannada actor told, that he has heard the script of Thalaivar 169, and is waiting for the team to make the announcement. “I am excited to work with Rajini's uncle. And, I want Nelson, and the producers to make the news official.”

Shivarajkumar, further, added, “Anyone would love to work with Rajini uncle. He has known me since I was 12 or 13. He has been close to our family, so it would be a lovely opportunity to share screen space with him.”

Shivarajkumar, who spent his initial years in Chennai, says he's fluent in Tamil.

Ask him why he hasn't acted in a Tamil film yet, and he said, “There are many amazing superstars in Kollywood. When I have to enter that film industry, there should be something different that I can offer. I was impressed by the way Nelson had written my role. It struck a chord with me, and it would be wonderful to be a part of the film and I have my fingers crossed!”

The makers unveiled the first-look title poster of Jailer, which features a blood-stained sword hanging from the ceiling.

According to the poster, Jailer would be an action drama with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
