Jailer star Rajinikanth and Thunivu star Ajith shoot under the same roof in Chennai

There is a new buzz in K-town! Superstar Rajinikanth and Ajith are likely to meet each other soon. It all began after Rajinikanth began shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar's action entertainer Jailer and Ajith began shooting a pending song titled Chilla Chilla from his upcoming Pongal release, Thunivu, which is helmed by H Vinoth. Both the shoots are happening under the same roof. Since the studios are said to be located at the same venue, speculations are rife that the duo will meet each other as a courtesy call.

It was not long ago that a morphed picture of Ajith meeting Rajinikanth at his residence had done the rounds. However, Ajith's manager had put an end to the same and had dismissed it as rumours. In the meantime, Sivakarthikeyan had recently dropped a picture of him with Ajith from the sets of Thunivu. He had shared the picture on his social media handle and had stated that he was meeting Ajith after a long time. He captioned it, "Met AK sir after long time yet another meeting with sir, to cherish for life. Thank you for all the positive words and wishes sir (sic)."

Interestingly, Sivakarthikeyan was also spotted on the sets of Rajinikanth's Jailer, where his picture with Kannada star Shiv Rajkumar did the rounds on social media. In the meantime, there has been a rumour that Sivakarthikeyan is appearing in a cameo role in Jailer. Now that he has been spotted with Ajith as well, the rumour has only got stronger. However, there has been no official confirmation about the same.

Ajith's Thunivu is all set to take on Vijay's Varisu, which is also slated to release for Pongal. The booking interest for Ajith's Thunivu has already crossed 3,00,000 on one of the leading booking portals. The film, which is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor, will be distributed by Red Giant Movies.
