Three days after his birthday on December 12, Superstar Rajinikanth visited the Tirumala temple along with his elder daughter Aishwarya. While the father and daughter arrived in Tirupati on December 14, they had an early morning darshan this morning (December 15) at the Lord Venkateshwara temple. Pictures and videos of the duo have been doing the rounds on social media since this morning. It is said that this younger daughter Soundarya too was part of the visit and that she even took part in the Suprabhata Seva of the Lord and had darshan later.

Rajinikanth had last visited Tirumala in 2016. The actor had stated that he was visiting the temple after a span of six years and that he was extremely glad that he had the darshan. When asked about popular actor, producer and distributor Udhayanidhi Stalin becoming a minister in the Tamil Nadu government, the actor stated that he has already wished Udhayanidhi and that he didn't want to speak about anything else during his temple visit. Udhayanidhi has been appointed as the Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development and Rajinikanth wished him on his social media handle yesterday soon after the swearing-in. He wrote, "My heartiest congratulations to my dear brother Udhayanidhi Stalin who has been sworn in as the Minister of Tamil Nadu (sic)."

On the film front, the actor is busy with Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming action entertainer Jailer. Rajinikanth plays a jailer in the film and his character is called Muthuvel Pandian. The makers had dropped a glimpse of his look from the film on the occasion of Rajinikanth's birthday. The film has Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu as part of the star cast. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures and is expected to hit screens during mid-2023. Rajinikanth is also said to have signed a two-deal film with Lyca Productions and will also be seen in a cameo appearance in his daughter Aishwarya's upcoming directorial Lal Salaam.
