Three decades after Patrick Swayze's 1989 cult classic, Road House, the legendary Double Deuce is calling for a new champion. Enter Jake Gyllenhaal in 2024, taking on the John Dalton character with a new name as Elwood Dalton, a role once synonymous with Swayze's charismatic swagger. Announced earlier in 2023, the remake is all set to take your screen on fire now.

All about the trailer

Amazon Prime Video has finally dropped the much-awaited trailer, in which we get to see Jake Gyllenhaal as Elwood Dalton, a retired fighter who used to be a champion in the UFC. Now, he works as a bouncer at a bar in Florida, making sure that the customers don't get too wild. It's a tough job, but Elwood knows how to handle matters.

Jake Gyllenhaal is seen getting beaten up real bad with constant knockouts. He is down on his luck, living in his car, and fighting in secret matches. Then, a woman named Jessica Williams, who owns a bar, invites him to work for her. We don't get a clear vision of whether he wants to get back in the game or not, but it looks like he might have a new chance to retrieve his career as a fighter.

The trailer gives us glimpses of the sunny beaches and palm trees of Florida, where the whole story takes place. It also gives us the first glimpse of Conor McGregor, the famous Irish UFC fighter, in his debut acting role. He is looking as badass as he is in real life.

A retired tough boxer from the UFC gets a job at a wild bar in Florida after retirement. Things are weird and creepy there, and it's not just because people get loud and say bad words; some notorious things are happening.
