Now, Sagar R, actor and producer of Jaladhara Pump Set Since 1962, has said that his film has been overshadowed by Rajinikanth's Jailer.
Speaking to Manorama Online about his film, Sagar said, "I worship Rajinikanth, but his recent release, Jailer, is harming my film, Jaladhara Pump Set Since 1962. I thought this film would justify my 15 years of hard work in the film industry. It took me two years to figure out the right time to release this film, and now that it is in theatres, it is struggling to survive in front of Rajinikanth's film."
Sagar also spoke about his journey in the film industry and how most of the films he acted in got shelved and did not see a theatrical release. His role in Jaladhara Pump Set Since 1962 is his first full-length one as an actor in a film that got to see the light of day. Sagar also requested that the audience watch his film in theatres.
