Jalsa director Suresh Triveni says, "Producer’s relentless pursuit, phenomenal actors and crew’s blind trust have made the film a success"

Vidya Balan-Shefali Shah starrerJalsa performed tremendously well and gathered a lot of praise from the movie buffs as well as critics. Directed by Tumhari Sulu fame filmmaker Suresh Triveni, the filmmaker explored a redemption-revenge story in the latest crime-thriller movie that also stars Manav Kaul and Mohammed Iqbal Khan.

Jalsa revolves around a famous journalist and her cook (played by Vidya and Shefali respectively) and follows the aftermath and the investigation of the accident of an 18-year-old girl.

Talking about how the success of ‘Jalsa’ was different from that he enjoyed in the past, Suresh Triveni recently said in a statement, "Just like a review mentioned that Jalsa is a film of many things so is the success." He further mentioned that the relentless pursuit of his producers and the blind trust of his cast and crew are some of the many things that made this Amazon original movie a success. Mentioning that he was humbled by the responses, the filmmaker added, "I am not on social media and yet the messages reached me piercing all walls. Messages, short of essays and emotions no less than my characters. If the first phone call can happen at 6:30 am I think the job is done."

Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Sharma under the banners named T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment, the Vidya-Shefali starrer also has Rohini Hattangadi, Kashish Rizwan, Vidhatri Bandi as supporting characters among others.
