The premise of Jalsa states that a hit-and-run involving an 18-year-old girl becomes the hub of a wheel that sends several spokes spinning: a journalist, a rage-filled mother, a cop, and the system are all caught in an ethical bind. Questions are raised, only to be met with the realisation that the truth is rarely clean or simple.

Jalsa promises to keep you on the edge of your seat with riveting performances and a nerve-wracking tale, leaving you wanting more. The film will launch on Amazon Prime Video on March 18, 2022, in India and 240 other countries and territories across the world.

Jalsa is directed by Suresh Triveni and co-produced by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Sharma, and Suresh Triveni. Vidya Balan, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul, Rohini Hattangadi, Iqbal Khan, Vidhatri Bandi, Shrikant Mohan Yadav, Shafeen Patel, and Surya Kasibhatla are among the cast members.

This is the first time Vidya and Shefali share the screen space in a film. While Vidya has earlier worked with director Suresh in Tumhari Sulu, Jalsa also reunites them with Manav on the screen.
