James on OTT: Priya Anand urges everyone to watch the late Puneeth Rajkumar's film and celebrate him

Kannada cinema’s Power Star, the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s James, which had released in theatres posthumously on his birthday on March 17, is now available to stream on OTT. Earmarked for an April 14 release on SonyLiv, the film is already available to stream, on the occasion of which, Priya Anand, the leading lady of James, took to social media to urge everyone to “watch the film and celebrate their beloved Appu one more time”.

I’m trying!☺️” Priya captioned a video in which she urged everyone to watch the film and celebrate Puneeth.

The Chethan Kumar directorial was Priya’s second film with Puneeth, having earlier collaborated with him on Raajakumara. During the pre-release promotions, the actress had several emotional moments at having to speak about Puneeth in his absence. “I feel lucky that this team wanted to repeat our hit combination from Raajakumara. I was thrilled to act with Appu (Puneeth’s pet name) again and that there was an amazing story to be told. I will always treasure the moments spent with Appu,” said Priya at a press briefing, adding, “I have disconnected myself from the fact that I have acted in James. For me, it’s just a celebration of Appu. But to think that so many people are now going to watch James and celebrate it is overwhelming. Appu is the face of James and coming here to celebrate the film without him is not easy.”

James has music by Charanraj and features actors like Sarath Kumar, Meka Srikanth, Madhusudhan Rao, Mukesh Rishi, Rangayana Raghu, Tilak, Chikkanna, Shine Shetty, Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee, Aditya Menon, John Kokken, Tarak Ponnappa, Yash Shetty among many others.
