Listin Stephen is the man behind Magic Frames, which is responsible for producing new-age films like Traffic, Ustad Hotel, Kaduva, and Jana Gana Mana.
In a recent interview, Listin revealed that he will next be working on a film with Mohanlal in the lead. He also said that the script for the film is almost finished and that he is ready to pitch it to the actor.
“I have plans to produce a film that stars Mohanlal. The scripting work is almost finished. I have yet to pitch it to Mohanlal and have only talked to his business partner, Antony Perumbavoor,” he told Movie World Media.
Listin also said that it is too soon to say anything about the movie.
“Nothing concrete can be said about the movie. Mohanlal might even be unaware of my plan for the movie. So, it is too soon to say anything conclusive. It hasn't been set in stone that we will be working together,” he said.
Talking about the failure of his film Gold, helmed by Alphonse Puthren, Listin said, “I did not incur a financial loss with Gold. The movie didn’t do as well as expected. If Alphonse comes to me with an interesting subject again, I won’t hesitate to back it.”
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is busy with the shoot of his pan-Indian action film Vrushabha, which is helmed by Nanda Kishore. The movie is about the relationship between a father and son, and is set for a worldwide release across 4,500 screens.
Telugu actor Roshan Meka essays the role of Mohanlal’s son in Vrushabha, which also stars Shanaya Kapoor and singer Zahrah S Khan in pivotal roles.
