Jana Nayagan OTT platform confirmed: Vijay film to stream here; to clash with Prabhas’ The Raja Saab in Telugu

Jana Nayagan, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor-turned-politician Vijay in the lead role, is gearing up for release in a couple of months. The makers are all set to begin promotions for the much-anticipated flick, with the release of first single. Along with the new poster release, it has also been confirmed that the OTT rights of Jana Nayagan has been bagged by Prime Video.

Jana Nayagan, which was supposed to have hit theatres in October, has been pushed to January 2026 for Pongal. With only couple of months away for the release, the makers have begun the promotions. A new poster dropped recently, which confirmed that Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Jana Nayagan. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can upgrade their plans with Prime Video to watch the streamer’s content.

Jana Nayagan team will begin with the release of first single, which will be out on November 8, Saturday. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, and fans are excited to hear the song which might be the introduction song of Vijay in the film. Jana Nayagan will mark Vijay’s farewell film, given he has recently announced himself as CM candidate from his party in the upcoming 2026 state elections.

Jana Nayagan release confirms clash with The Raja Saab

Jana Nayagan will release in theatres on January 9, after there was much speculations that the film will be postponed. The Telugu version will also release on the same day, clashing with Prabhas’ horror comedy film The Raja Saab.

Written and directed by H Vinoth in his first collaboration with Vijay, Jana Nayagan also stars actors Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon and others. It is speculated that Jana Nayagan is a remake of Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. In the teaser released earlier, Vijay is revealed to be playing a cop.
