Want to attend the audio launch of Thalapathy Vijay’s last, Jana Nayagan? Well, now might be a good time to get your travel documents in order because the makers of the film have just announced the venue and the date. A little while ago, KVN Productions dropped a 5-and-a-half-minute promo of the upcoming event, which will unfold on December 27, 2025 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia, which is said to have a capacity of over 87,500, the largest in south-east Asia. The event is expected to attract full-house attendance, with fans in Malaysia already excited about witnessing the star’s last audio launch speech, while those back home are busy trying to find out flight ticket rates.

The film team has not revealed details about entry to the event, which is expected to be made public shortly, to allow fans to make plans to attend it live. No doubt, it will also likely be live streamed, for those unable to join in. Jana Nayagan, which is said to be the remake of the Nandamuri Balakrishna film Bhagavanth Kesari, is set to be in theatres on January 9, 2026, ahead of Sankranti/Pongal. The film’s post-theatrical rights have been picked up by Amazon Prime Video.

A lyrical video of the first single from the film, Thalapathy Kacheri had been released in early November, which featured glimpses of the actual video, including Vijay, Pooja Hedge and Mamitha Baiju busting a few moves, much like NBK, Kajal Aggarwal and Sreeleela had in the original. In fact, the song had strengthened the rumours that H Vinoth’s film is an official adaptation of the 2023 Telugu film. The production banner is said to have paid big money for the remake rights, but it is also being reported that Jana Nayagan will release as Jana Nayakadu in Telugu on January 9.

The film’s cast also includes Bobby Deol, Priya Mani, Narain, Prakash Raj, among others, with Aniruddh on board as music director and Sathyan Sooryan for cinematography. The film has, reportedly, been made at a whopping Rs 300 crore.
