Janhvi Kapoor has been extensively shooting for Mili, the Hindi remake of the hit Malayalam film Helen. The film has been directed by Mathukutty Xavier, who also helmed the original film. While Sunny Kaushal features as the male lead in the Boney Kapoor-produced film, On Friday night, Janhvi announced that the shoot for the film had been wrapped. The actor penned a heartfelt note for the whole team, along with photos from the sets.
Janhvi stated, "It’s a wrap! #Milli, my first film with Papa, whom I’ve only heard stories about all my life as a producer. But after working with you, it feels so cool to say that!! I finally know what everyone means when they say you give your heart and soul to each film you take up. That isn’t the only reason this film is so special to me- it’s been the most inspiring journey to work with someone so completely consumed by his focus and love for cinema like @mathukuttyxavier sir.
The actor also thanked Noble Babu Thomas, who co-wrote Helen and starred as the male lead opposite Anna Ben. Janhvi penned, "Thank you and @noblebabuthomas for your guidance and patience. For reinstating my belief that if you work honestly enough and hard enough, however tough the journey is, it’s still the closest thing to magic. And it’s worth everything. Talking about the plot of the survival thriller Helen, in the film, Helen (Anna) lives with her father, Paul, who works as an insurance agent (Lal). She has a crush on a lad named Azhar (Noble). The film depicts the events that occur after Helen fails to return home from work one night. Attempts to locate her are jeopardised by the presence of temperamental sub-inspector Ratheesh Kumar (Aju Varghese). The search and what's going on with Helen keep the story moving.
