If you are counting down to next week’s releases, Salaar and Dunki, or to the year-ender Kaatera and are looking for something to watch in the meantime, well, we have a few suggestions for you. There is no original Kannada content on OTT this week, as Tagaru Palya’s release is delayed and no new date has been announced. There are, however, a few Kannada-dubbed titles that may pique your interest.
Japan
Karthi’s Deepavali release, the action heist comedy Japan did not have a great theatrical outing and was panned widely. And yet, the film managed to seal a good OTT deal and began streaming exactly a month later. The Raju Murugan directorial also stars Anu Emmanuel, Sunil, Vijay Milton, Jithan Ramesh, among many others.

Sesham Mike-il Fathima
This comedy drama about a young Muslim woman from Malabar, who desires to become a football commentator, has Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead. Released in theatres on November 17, the film, which also stars Femina George, Shaheen Siddique, Parvathi T, Gautham Vasudev Menon, among others, had opened to mixed reviews.

Koose Munisamy Veerappan – Unseen Veerappan Tapes
The second documentary on the life of the slain forest brigand to come to OTT this year, Koose Munisamy Veerappan – Unseen Veerappan Tapes, as the title suggests, is based on exclusive footage from Nakkheeran, the Tamil investigative magazine, whose founder and editor Gopal had a long-standing association with Veerappan. The six-part docu-series is, interestingly, only the first season and captures Veerappan’s life till about 1996 only and a second season is expected.

Reacher Season 2
Reacher, the series based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child, returns for a second season. This time, the former US Army military policeman has to look into the circumstances behind the death of another member of his unit. Reunited with former colleagues, he stumbles upon a conspiracy about them being hunted down by a secret organisation.
