Jared Leto quips Al Pacino gave him the cold shoulder on first day of House of Gucci, here's why

Jared Leto, who will next be seen in House of Gucci, recently revealed that he spent six hours transforming into his character, Paolo Gucci. As per the recent reports, the Oscar-winning actor spoke at length about concentrating on the inner life of the character while prepping and dressing up for it during the shoot.

Leto had this to say about the iconic transformation: every day, he spent the six hours full of joy and thankfulness, and he utilised them as an opportunity to concentrate on the character's inner life. As he earlier said, having a disguise is pointless if one doesn't have an inner existence, and that is the most crucial point when getting into a character.

Leto also said that one could absolutely play the part without any external physical characteristics. However, they must keep their internals under check, and he made the most of that period.

The actor was well aware that he was in for a treat and he wasn't going to let anyone down. Leto was going to do everything he could to make sure he didn't let anyone down. So he utilised that time to concentrate, and revealed that the real life Paolo was extremely talkative, thus there was a lot of improvisation.

Leto quipped that on their first day on set together, Al Pacino gave him the cold shoulder, not realizing the mustachioed bald man was his onscreen son.

House of Gucci follows the ambitious Patrizia Reggiani as she romances Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver) and marries her way into the dynastic Italian luxury company. It is based on Sara Gay Forden's book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

The release date for House of Gucci is November 26, during the Thanksgiving weekend.
