Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the direct sequel to the first two movies, Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters: II, that were released in 1984 and 1989 respectively.

Phoebe and Trevor move to a small town in Oklahoma with their mother (Carrie Coon). Little do they know that they would discover many connections to the original Ghostbusters 30 years ago. The two chance upon ghost-hunting equipment at their grandfather’s private farm including a new and improved Ecto-1.

To save the world from being taken over by malevolent spirits, the young heroes must join hands with Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd), a middle school teacher/ seismologist.
