The streaming world has opened doors for the audience to have a more immersive experience of stories in long format, and for filmmakers and creators to make them. But even before the world caught the momentum in this journey, there was American TV that was giving some of the most wholesome shows, and some cannot even be replicated today. The magic was unique. While the world talks of Friends in the highest regard, and the loyalists of How I Met Your Mother argue their umbrella is yellower (you see what I did there?), there came a show a couple of years back that brought back that magic. We are talking about Ted Lasso.

Ted Lasso is a show about the misfits. Our Ted is a football coach at AFC Richmond. The man who hails from Kansas is first ridiculed for his lack of knowledge in the sport he is teaching the team. Ted Lasso is about how he rises above all of it with his dedication, compassion, and pure heart. Played by Jason Sudeikis, Ted became a character everyone loved, and the demand for his return is intense.

The latest rumor now says that Jason might return to play Ted in a new season of Ted Lasso. So the excited us has curated the best five scenes featuring Jason Sudeikis that prove why he needs to come back on the screen and into our lives.

Ted’s ‘Everyone Deserves A Second Chance’ Speech To Beard
Episode: Mom City - Season 3, Episode 11.

Confused about why we chose a scene where Ted is not even a major part? Well, his impact is massive. The third season was all about Nate trying to make things right and make a comeback to Richmond. But it was by the end that Ted had to take things into his own hands and give that moving lesson to Beard. Him saying ‘Everyone deserves a second chance’ stayed with us, and Beard ran to Nate and forgave him. Titled Mom City, the episode is one of the most loved.

Rebecca Reveals The Truth To Ted
Episode: All Apologies – Season 1, Episode 9.

Lasso’s way of looking at life is not just sorted but also reflects the most positivity. When Rebecca came to him in the penultimate episode of season one to tell him the reason why she actually hired him, it was a moment the show witnessed one of the most endearing arc traditions. When Rebecca revealed she hired Ted only to sabotage her former husband’s team, our man was quick to forgive her. His only response was, ‘Divorce makes people do crazy things,’ and he won our hearts again.

Sam’s Restaurant Is Sorted
Episode: The Strings That Bind Us – Season 3, Episode 7.

Ted Lasso, in a way, is also a commentary on society and an approach to how one must live in it. When Sam talks against a powerful politician, he is rewarded with a vandalized restaurant by the goons of that same politician. Just when Sam is about to give up, Ted Lasso's magic unfolds, and he returns to his restaurant. He sees the team has sorted the mess, and his restaurant is back to its glory. Certainly, a very heart-warming moment.

When Nate Made Us All Cry
Episode: So Long, Farewell – Season 3, Episode 12.

The BELIEVE sign missing from the locker room broke many hearts and also Nate’s, who was actually the reason. After spending an entire season trying to apologize, he is finally given a chance. While Ted is not angry with him, the guilt takes over Nate, who cannot control it and breaks down inconsolably. This scene holds some of the best acting performances on the show.

Ted Finally Let’s It Out
Episode: Man City – Season 2, Episode 8.

If someone asks what is one scene that defines Ted Lasso and explains the man, it has to be this one. Nothing even comes close to Ted breaking down and revealing the pain he holds in his heart. The revelation that he lost his dad to suicide when a teenager and that he hasn’t processed it yet, changes so much about how we look at this character. The happy face he walks around with is a mask, and the giving nature is his coping mechanism. This one is precious.
