Speculations are rife that Lady Superstar Nayanthara is all set to bid adieu to the big screen, at least for the time being! A number of reports are doing the rounds that the actress wants to focus on her twins- Uyir and Ulagam- who were recently born through surrogacy. She also wants to focus on her production house Rowdy Pictures, which she co-runs with her director husband Vignesh Shivan. These rumours come at a time when the actress is gearing up for her high-profile Bollywood debut with Jawan opposite the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. The film, directed by Atlee, will have Nayanthara playing the leading lady. The actress or Vignesh Shivan hasn't made any comment on the rumours.

These rumours have surfaced time and again, when Nayanthara tied the knot last year and also soon after her children were born. However, Nayanthara had said in an interview during the promotions of her film Connect that marriage shouldn't be considered as the end of an actress's career and that it was not an interval point. She had even questioned why working after marriage was even a talking point when men went back to work the very next day after their weddings. She said that her life was only better after her marriage because she has a support system. Considering what she thought about working after marriage, it only seems like this could be a rumour once again.

On the work front, Nayanthara has a slew of films in her kitty, which includes Atlee's Jawan, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi,  Alphonse Puthren's Paattu with Fahadh Faasil, a film with Nilesh Krishna and with Puri Jagannadh. Nayanthara was last seen in Ashwin Saravanan's horror thriller Connect and the Malayalam comic caper, Gold in which she was seen opposite Prithviraj, and was directed by Alphonse Puthren.
