Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan saw an overwhelming release worldwide on September 7. This time, it also got a censor and other logistic clearance from Bangladesh too. For the first time, a film will be released on the same day in our neighbouring country. There will be no obstacles to the release of the Atlee film in Bangladesh.

It was nothing short of a celebration as Shah Rukh Khan makes an entry to the big screen second time in the year after Pathaan. Atlee directed this action-packed entertainer, creating excitement not only in India but also among Shah Rukh Khan's fans in America and Dubai. Typically, foreign films release in Bangladesh a few days after their release in India, but Jawan is an exception. There were hope that the film would be released in Bangladesh on the same day but there were uncertainties until the evening of that day.

A section of Bangladeshi artistes protested the same day release as they feared that a magnum opus like Jawan may affect the local films and the artistes attached to those projects. According to the unwritten rules of the Bangladesh Film Producers' Association, more than two films cannot be released in the same week. On this note, two Bangladeshi films, Sujan Majhi, directed by Delwar Jahan Jhantu, and Duhshashhi Khoka, directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, are set to release on September 8. Delwar Jahan Jhantu claims that since these two films were scheduled for release before, there will be no possibility of any other film releasing in the coming week.

He emphasised that if Jawan had been released on September 7, there would have been no way for the protest to continue. However, due to the censor board’s approval for Jawan, there are no more obstacles, according to sources in the Bangladesh media. Distributor Satadip Saha distributed the film in Bangladesh.
