Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan opened in theaters in September and everyone was blown away with the film which was a blockbuster at the box office. In addition to Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone had an extended cameo in the film, for which she garnered a lot of praise from the audience as well as critics.
The film, which was directed by South filmmaker, Atlee, broke a lot of records at the box office. Now, recently when he discussed the Shah Rukh Khan movie in-depth, he offered some fascinating insights about how the casting and the idea came together. In a recent interview with Filmfare, Atlee talked candidly about working with Deepika Padukone on a successful film and praised the well-known actress' outstanding acting abilities.

Atlee, who made his directorial debut with Jawan added that Deepika Padukone has incredibly expressive eyes. For this reason, in the majority of her sequences in Jawan, he mostly used close-up shots. He said, "She has great eyes, and she speaks the scene through her eyes more than through dialogue."
He also revealed that having worked with Deepika Padukone, he had revised and modified a number of her dialogue scenes because of how much more her expressions could say. Any filmmaker who has the opportunity to work with the Cocktail actress is genuinely privileged because they will be able to get their desired outcome for a scene, Atlee concluded.
