Jawan: Eijaz Khan on his journey from dancing behind Shah Rukh Khan till sharing screen space with him

Ever since the time Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ has got released, it has been making news for all the right reasons. Be it the film’s staggering box office collections, the film’s chartbuster music, and its ‘picture-perfect’ casting, everyone has been not just talking about it, but also cannot stop raving as well. Speaking of ‘picture-perfect’ casting, there is not even a single character who seemed out of place. One such character who had left a deep impact on the minds of the cinegoers was Eijaz Khan, who plays the role of Manish Gaikwad, brother of Kaalie (played by Vijay Sethupathi).

In an interview with ‘Connect FM Canada’, Eijaz Khan went onto reveal a relatively unknown fact about him. He said that, he was a part of a dance tour that had Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. While on the topic of Shah Rukh Khan, he said that Shah Rukh sir was not only one of the biggest film stars in India but all around the world and that he was lucky that he was part of a dance tour involving Salman Khan sir and Shah Rukh Khan sir. He added that they used to go out of India and that they did world tours for three months. He also added the kind of frenzy that Shah Rukh Khan garners.

And while recalling his experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in the film ‘Jawan’, Eijaz Khan said that he used to dance behind Shah Rukh Khan, but now, he shared screen space with him and that she was threatening him. He added that he did not interact much with Atlee sir and Shah Rukh sir, but he had reminded him (Shah Rukh Khan) that he had danced with him.

As for the film ‘Jawan’, besides Shah Rukh Khan, the film has Nayanthara as the leading lady and the southern superstar Vijay Sethupathi in an important role. Besides them, the film also stars Deepika Padukone (in a cameo), Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureishi and others.
