Jawan on OTT: Shah Rukh Khan’s film is powerful on the web too, overpowers Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 again

Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Jawan is the most loved film on OTT as well. The movie worked wonders in theatres and now that it is out on OTT, it is thriving on the web too. Once again, this film is giving tough competition to Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2. It is to be noted that the two movies are the highest grossing films of the year. Ormax Media has unveiled its list of top performing theatrical releases on OTT and no guesses about who won. The list is for the week of November 3-9.

Jawan at the top again

There seems to be absolutely no competition when it comes to Shah Rukh Khan’s debut collaboration with Atlee. Jawan became a massive hit in theatres and some of its shows are still running in theatres. Having released on Netflix, this one is receiving massive love, even on OTT.

Gadar 2 in competition

The audience for both Jawan and Gadar 2 was similar in theatres and on OTT. Sunny Deol’s film released in theatres first and ruled at the Box Office. It noticed a similar trend on OTT. The movie was the most loved in theatres and on OTT, till Jawan came along. Then, the film sustained its second position on both the mediums.

OMG 2

One surprise among them comes in Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2. The film released in theatres with Gadar 2. The movies released on OTT as well around the same time. OMG 2, also featuring Pankaj Tripathi, has been the black horse on both the mediums. Even if ignored among the stardom and massive competition between the films, OMG 2 found its audience, both on OTT and in theatres. The movie is the sequel to its original one, featuring Paresh Rawal in the lead role with Akshay.
