Jawan: Shah Rukh Khan starrer grosses AUD 400,000; becomes the first EVER Indian film to top Australian Box Office

So, the tornado called ‘Jawan’ for which many were waiting with bated breath finally arrived today. It’s no rocket science to decipher the craze for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer all across the country. Right from worshipping the posters with milk, to having their entire vehicle painted with the posters of ‘Jawan’… the fans of ‘Jawan’ are being there, doing that! All of these fandoms that the film is enjoying have definitely started translating to the box-office success of the film.

If one has to consider the sacnilk.com’s box office prediction, then, it says that the film seems all set to gain around Rs 77 crore net (in the Hindi belt). On the other hand, as far as the regional versions of the film are concerned (Tamil and Telugu), the film is expected to pocket around Rs. 4.75 crore net each. And as far as the all-India collections are concerned, it looks like the film will manage to surpass the figure of Rs. 85 crores on its first day! But, that’s in India that we are talking about.

The good news is that, since Shah Rukh Khan is a global star, his pull at the box-office windows is huge all over. No wonder then, the film ‘Jawan’ has now managed to collect over AUD 400,000 on today in Australia, as per a report in Pinkvilla. The report stated that, with this feat (of collecting over AUD 400,000), the film ‘Jawan’ becomes the film with the second-highest first day collections, which comes second to Pathaan, yet again a Shah Rukh Khan starrer! But, with Jawan getting released during mid-week (Thursday), it became the highest non-holiday opener, stated the aforementioned report.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Jawan’ stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the leading roles. Directed by Atlee Kumar, ‘Jawan’ also stars Deepika Padukone (cameo), Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Riddhi Dogra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureishi and others.
