Jawan strikes gold with the highest single-day collection in Bollywood; Shah Rukh Khan's film earns Rs. 180.45 crore in 3 days, surpassing Pathaan

With its record-breaking Rs. 68.72 crore (Hindi) on Saturday, Jawan has now broken every box office record for a single day. For the three-day weekend, the picture earned Rs. 180.45 crore, which is over 10% greater than Pathaan's total of Rs. 160 crore nett. Shah Rukh Khan's previous film, Pathaan, which came out earlier this year, set a record with its box office performance.

Record-breaking film!

As per Box Office India, in all of India's major cities—Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Bangalore—the film's popularity exploded. The latter has broken box office records with earnings that are 30–40% higher than those of Pathaan, which also made a lot of money. The other areas also expanded greatly, although certainly not to the same extent as the hubs, where multiplexes predominated. Importantly, the mass circuits are operating at or near their initial state.

Cricket match impact?

Whether or not the big cricket match between India and Pakistan affects the film's projected numbers for the weekend is unknown. Even if the match stunts the movie's expansion on Sunday, it still has a chance to make up for it over the weekend.

In the first three days, Jawan (Hindi) has accomplished the following:

Thursday: Rs. 65.50 crore

Friday: Rs. 46.23 crore

Saturday: Rs. 68.72 crore

Total: Rs. 180.45 crore

Red Chillies Entertainment shared on their social media pages that Jawan has recorded the highest single-day collection ever with Rs. 68.72 crore (Hindi) and Rs. 144.22 crore GBOC (all languages).

Atlee, who has directed Jawan for the first time in Hindi, also stars as the female lead in Nayanthara's Bollywood debut. Vijay Sethupathi plays the main antagonist in the actioner. Jawan is about a father and son who are on a mission to rectify corruption in the country. The film also features Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo appearance.
