Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey actor Basil Joseph caps off 2022 with this luxury Volvo SUV

Actor and director Basil Joseph capped off a stellar year with a new member to his garage. The actor, who started off the year with the success of Minnal Murali, had also played the leads of two films – Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Palthu Janwar, both of which were hits in theatres.

The actor was recently honoured with the Best Director award at the Asian Academy Awards 2022 in Singapore. He had represented India and had been chosen among filmmakers of 16 countries for his work in the desi superhero film Minnal Murali, which premiered on Netflix on December 24, 2021.

Basil also had a great run this year as an actor, with his latest release Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey collecting close to Rs 45 crore in worldwide box office. The movie, which had Darshana Rajendran in the lead, dropped on Disney+ Hotstar the past week.

The actor recently bought home an Onyx black Volvo XC90. The 7-searter costs around Rs 1 crore. Photos of him along with wife Elizabeth and the new vehicle started doing rounds on social media from Monday. Social media influencer and vehicle enthusiast Baiju N Nair had shared a photo with the actor’s new car, wishing him happy journeys in the safety of a Volvo XC90.

The mild hybrid vehicle, which is packed with safety features such as blind spot information system, 360 degree parking view, intelligent safety assistance technology and cross traffic alert with autobrake, comes with a Bowers and Wilkins audio system along with advanced air purifier.

Meanwhile, Basil is expected to begin work on his next directorial in 2023. While the expectations of Minnal Murali sequel has been sky high, the director had earlier told us that the will first helm another movie before beginning working on the Tovino Thomas-starrer. Basil is also part of Cup, Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham and Ajayante Randam Moshanam.
