Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen’s Kaadhalikka Neramillai first single update: Shruti Haasan sings for AR Rahman

We had earlier reported that actors Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen will be coming together for the first time onscreen for the upcoming Tamil film titled Kaadhalikka Neramillai. While it has been some time since the announcement, the makers of the film recently revealed a key development in the project.

The first single of Kaadhalikka Neramillai is set to be crooned by actor-musician Shruti Haasan, Kruthiga Udhayanidhi, who is directing the feature, revealed recently. The score for the film is composed by AR Rahman.

Shruti Haasan sings for Kaadhalikka Neramillai

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi is currently working on her upcoming directorial Kaadhalikka Neramillai. The film stars Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. On Thursday, Kiruthiga took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle and posted a photograph from the recording studio. She wrote, "It was so fun and an absolute delight to record my 1st song of #KadhalikkaNeramillai with @arrahman @shrutihaasan @KavingarSnekan."

The first single will be sung by Shruti Haasan with Snehan penning the lyrics. AR Rahman has composed the track. However, the release date of the song was not mentioned.

About Kaadhalikka Neramillai

Kiruthuga who last helmed the 2022 web series Paper Rocket, is back to the director's chair with the upcoming romantic drama Kaadhalikka Neramillai. Apart from Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen, the film also stars Vijay Rai, Yogi Babu, Lal, John Kokken, TJ Bhanu, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Vinodhini, among others. The upcoming film will mark Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen’s first collaboration as well as their first time working with Kiruthiga.

With Rahman scoring the music, Kadhalikka Neramillai is shot by cinematographer Gavemic Ary and Lawrence Kishore handles the editing. The film is backed by actor-politician-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin’s home banner Red Giant Movies. A release date for Kaadhalikka Neramillai is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan was recently seen in Telugu films like Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Hi Nanna. The actor, who is also concentrating on her independent music, has Dacoit in Telugu alongside Adivi Sesh.
