Jayamma Panchayathi release date: When and where to watch Suma Kanakala, Devi Prasad, Dinesh Kumar, Shalini's Telugu film

Suma Kanakala, who's made a name for herself as a popular host, anchor on television, is making a return to Telugu cinema with a rural drama titled Jayamma Panchayathi. The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Jayamma Panchayathi also stars Devi Prasad, Dinesh Kumar and Shalini in pivotal roles. It is produced by Balaga Prakash under Vennela Creations. The drama hits theatres across the globe on May 6.

The film revolves around a headstrong village woman, Jayamma, whose world revolves around her family. When her loved ones face a problem, it creates a conflict between her and a few elderly men in the village. MM Keeravaani is the composer of the drama - four songs of the film have already released, including Thippagalana, Baagundi Kada, Jayamma and Golusu Kattu Gosalu. Anush Kumar is the cinematographer of Jayamma Panchayathi, while Ravi Teja Girijala is the editor. The technical team also comprises art director Dhanu Andhluri and costume designer Hari Priya.

Nani and Nagarjuna had arrived as chief guests for the film's pre-release event. Nani has earlier also launched the film's first single, Thippagalana, a few months ago. Some of the other stars who have promoted the film include Ram Charan, Nani, Rana Daggubati, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli. While the promotional tour of the rural drama had commenced in Warangal, Suma along with the team had later interacted with the media and visited prominent locations in Vijayawada, Srikakulam and Kakinada later too. 

The director of Jayamma Panchayathi had made a name for himself with a flurry of popular short films in the past. The story of the drama is inspired by a series of incidents he had witness while growing in his village in Srikakulam. A bulk of the film apart from Suma and Devi Prasad are newcomers. The streaming partner of Jayamma Panchayathi hasn't been announced yet.
