Sarkaru Vaari Paata star Mahesh Babu, earlier today, unveiled the second (release) trailer of Suma Kanakala’s big-screen comeback film, Jayamma Panchayathi. The film, written and directed by Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu, also stars Devi Prasad, newcomers Dinesh Kumar and Shalini in key roles. Balaga Prakash bankrolls the film under Vennela Creations while MM Keeravaani scores the music. Jayamma Panchayathi is all set for a release on May 6.

The new trailer of Jayamma Panchayathi has the pivotal character Jayamma fighting it out against a group of elderly men in the village over an issue. While the real conflict in the film is kept under wraps, many people in the village opine that Jayamma has better things to do than fighting this petty battle. Meanwhile, her teenage daughter has the hots for a young boy in the village - a relationship that Jayamma is clearly not in favour of.

While Jayamma's husband says it isn't a big deal to lose one's life, she replies that death is easier than standing up tall and solving one's problems resiliently. There are references to a possible court battle too and Jayamma is in no mood to budge until she has her way. In the final portions of the trailer, when Jayamma warns a teenage boy to not meet her daughter henceforth, the latter hilariously references a dialogue from Balakrishna's Samarasimha Reddy and she gives him a handful later.

Suma fits the bill perfectly as Jayamma and she's ably complemented by the supporting cast. The film's pre-release event was held in Hyderabad during the last weekend, graced by Nagarjuna and Nani. Hari Hara Veera Mallu star Pawan Kalyan had launched the earlier trailer of Jayamma Panchayathi. Three other Telugu films are also hitting theatres this weekend apart from Jayamma Panchayathi, including Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, Maa Ishtam and Bhala Thandanana.
