Jayammu Nischayammu Raa: Jagapathi Babu admits turning down Nani's Jersey was a big mistake

Jayammu Nischayammu Raa is ZEE5’s new talk show that has become a topic of discussion all over. Jagapathi Babu calls rejecting Nani's Jersey a massive regret

Jagapathi Babu complimented Nani for the roles he is doing these days and spoke about rejecting his film Jersey, which was a big hit at the box office. “When Jersey was offered to me, I did not like the role and felt that the story would be routine and the film would end as a flop. Only when the film was released did I realize what kind of role I missed out on in my career. I had just started playing character roles and felt that this would be a very routine character for me, but when the film became such a hit, I bit my hands in regret and promised myself that whenever I am offered any Nani film, I will not even ask for the story and will end up doing it.”

Jersey was directed by Gautam Thinnai and is now streaming on OTTplay Premium. The family drama showcased Nani like never before, and the character, which was offered to Jagapathi Babu, was played by Sathyaraj. The Tamil actor won hearts with his performance, and this gave him a new lease of life in his career in Telugu cinema.

Jersey ended up becoming one of the biggest hits and also won the National Award for Best Film. Nani’s performance was one of the biggest highlights of the film. Coming back to the show, Nani also complimented Jagapathi Babu for doing dangerous villain roles and also some good films in the Telugu film industry.
