The movie, which is scripted by Nishad Koya, is set to be produced by Mamangam producer Venu Kunnappilly
Jayasurya revealed the motion poster of his “dream project” on his birthday today. The film, which will mark his first collaboration with veteran filmmaker Joshiy, is set to be produced by Mamangam producer Venu Kunnappilly.
Sharing its poster on his social media page, Jayasurya said that he has been waiting for years to work with director Joshiy and finally has zeroed in on a subject that is “very exciting”. The movie will be scripted by Nishad Koya, who had earlier written films such as Ordinary, Shikkari Shambu and My Santa.
Talking to OTTplay about the movie, Nishad tells us, “It’s a big movie and that’s why we were waiting for such a producer. It’s probably the biggest film in Jayasurya’s career. The movie will be shot in the UAE and Oman, and in India, filming will take place in Kerala, Delhi, Rajasthan and the Indo-Pak border.”
Ask him if it’s a travel movie and the scriptwriter says, “It’s got travel and also action. It’s a movie made on a big canvas like Joshiy sir’s New Delhi.” On when the team is planning to begin shooting, the scriptwriter says that the director has a few commitments that he has to complete before he starts work on the Jayasurya-starrer.
The veteran filmmaker was busy with Paappan, which is more of a family drama and has Suresh Gopi, Kaniha and Gokul Suresh as part of the cast, before the second wave of COVID-19 cases in Kerala temporarily halted shooting. Jayasurya, meanwhile, has completed filming Sunny, Meri Awaaz Suno and Eesho.
