Ranveer Singh will be seen in his most unique avatar yet in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. A newly released poster for the same is sure to add to the already palpable excitement around the highly-awaited film.

Ranveer took to his official social media handles to unveil the poster, which features the familiar colourfully dressed Jayeshbhai. Looking as wide-eyed and shocked as ever, Jayeshbhai is seen holding what seems to be a figure resembling a foetus. The poster also features the words “Jayeshbhai ko ladka hoga ya ladki?”, which roughly translates to ‘Will Jayeshbhai have a boy or a girl?’. Singh captioned the post “Aapko kya lagta hai?”.

Yash Raj Films, which produced the film, also shared the poster, with the caption “We’re expecting… the answer! Like all of you.”

Singh had recently opened up about the project, which will reportedly feature him in a ‘never-seen-before avatar’. The actor had told Mid-Day that he would play an ‘unprecedented’ character in the film. His character is that of a Gujarati man, who reportedly becomes a ‘superhero’ overnight. The trailer of the film will reportedly be dropped on April 19, Tuesday.

Directed by debutant Divyang Thakka, the film stars Shalini Pandey as its female lead. Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Deeksha Joshi also feature in the film.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is touted to be a social comedy film, which will focus on the theme of gender equality.

It is scheduled to be released on May 13, 2022. The film had witnessed numerous postponements in its release owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Ranveer was last seen in the Kabir Khan directorial ’83, which also featured his wife and fellow actor Deepika Padukone. The upcoming films in the actor’s kitty include Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus.
