Jayeshbhai Jordaar Twitter review: Ranveer Singh’s social comedy receives mixed reviews from netizens

Ranveer Singh promised to bring to the big screen a new kind of hero in the form of Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The film was released on the big screen on Friday. Being one of the most anticipated Ranveer Singh films of the year, with the star himself promising to essay a never before seen avatar, the film had high expectations from fans. But it seems that the Divyang Thakkar film fell short of living up to viewers’ expectations.

Although many fans were disappointed by the way the film unfolded, a lot of them were impressed by Singh’s performance. While one user was left with ‘a loss for words’ on seeing Singh’s portrayal, another said that they were ‘proud’ of Singh on choosing to do such a film. One user talked about how Singh has the ability to ‘pull off any script’ and another called the actor’s performance ‘surreal’. One user wrote that Singh’s performance was ‘the best thing in the movie’.

Singh’s performance as the titular character was singled out by many more users, even the ones who found the film not up to the mark. The performances of the rest of the cast, such as Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani,Ratna Pathak Shah, and Jia Vaidya(Singh’s onscreen daughter), were also appreciated by viewers.

Others were less than kind when it came to their opinion of the film and Singh’s role. One user talked about how disappointed they were with the film and acting, and another called it Singh’s ‘weakest performance’ till date.

‘Pathetic’, ‘horrible’ and ‘disaster were some of the words used by netizens to describe the film as well.
