Director Jeethu Joseph is all set for the release of his new film, Valathu Vashathe Kallan, hitting theatres on January 30, 2026. Ever since the phenomenal success of his Drishyam thrillers, fans have been poring over his films, trying to find loopholes and questioning the logic. Even Tamil actor Karthi, who was recently seen in Vaa Vaathiyaar, pointed out the importance of plugging loopholes in thrillers because it is a Jeethu Joseph film

What Karthi told Jeethu Joseph about thrillers

Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph had collaborated with Tamil star Karthi on the 2019 film, Thambi. During a recent interview with Cinema Express, Jeethu Joseph spoke about how viewers would not tolerate logical loopholes in his films.

“I realised this while doing Thambi in Tamil. I told Karthi not to overthink the logic, but he said, ‘Sir, it’s a Jeethu Joseph film. Logic has to be precise,’” Jeethu Joseph recounted.

The Tamil film Thambi was also a thriller, which also featured Jyotika, Sathyaraj, and Nikhila Vimal, apart from Karthi. The story revolves around the long-lost son of a family, who returns years later. But is he who he claims to be?
